SHREWSBURY

Shrewsbury the county town of Shropshire, has it all, medieval, monastic, merchant and mercurial.

Abbey Foregate, watched over by Lord Hill, atop the largest doric column in the world, casts his eyes towards the castle at the defensive head of the River Severn's meander.

The bustling town centre, accessed by the English and Welsh bridges cradles The Quarry Park, home of the famous flower show, and a natural amphitheatre for open air concerts.

Across in Frankwell, Theatre Severn is the latest landmark to touch our skyline, opened in 2008 it houses a 650 seat auditorium, bringing the best of London's shows to our doorstep. A workshop theatre and a supporting cast of bars and balconies, which look out across the river, combine contemporary architecture wrapped around historic buildings.

WEM

Wem is a small market town in North Shropshire alongside the banks of the River Roden with a traditional village heritage and atmosphere.

Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful rural countryside, the area gives real peace and tranquility but also very close to Shrewsbury, a thriving busy market town.

Wem is filled with pretty Georgian buildings and delightful 'proper' small shops and the pace of life in this quaint area is typical of an 'Old English Country Village'. However, the area is supported in its infrastructure by Shropshire County Council and has access to a number of local schools and colleges and amenities associated with larger towns and cities.

Shrewsbury town centre provides more in the way of supermarkets and department stores, as well as an array of independent shops, high street chains, restaurants, trendy bars and night clubs.

Wem is located in the heart of North Shropshire; it has excellent communications, a good road network, rail links and regional airports just over an hour away. Wem is the ideal choice for people wanting all the advantages of an attractive rural environment without having to travel too far.
